WHere is an easy take on a beverage from our latest drinks list. Designed as a large-volume premix which is bursting full of tastes of a Christmas time, making it excellent for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial for brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix additional servings of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 guests
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
Making the Cordial: Combine the listed ingredients in a pot, bring to a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Next, take off the stove and let it to cool down completely. Transfer into an clean bottle, close it and refrigerate it chilled, it can be stored for about a month.
To make Batch Mix: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into one large bottle, leave to sit for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Add 85ml from the batch mix into a mixing glass containing ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute until cold. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the top.
